For Sophie, having the Public Trustee support her in organising a much-anticipated trip was the highlight of her year.   

For Sophie, one of the highlights of the year was a much-anticipated trip to Melbourne. With support from her Client Account Manager and support network, Sophie was able to plan and enjoy a holiday centred around the things she loves most. 

During the trip, she visited some of her favourite attractions, including the Melbourne Aquarium, and attended a Collingwood Football Club match, an experience she had been looking forward to for a long time. 

Supporting clients to achieve personal goals is an important part of the Public Trustee’s role. Whether it is planning a holiday, attending special events or pursuing interests and hobbies, these opportunities help people build confidence, maintain independence and stay connected to their community. 

For Sophie, the trip was much more than a holiday. It was an opportunity to explore new places, enjoy meaningful experiences and create lasting memories. By taking the time to understand what matters most to clients and supporting them to achieve their goals, the Public Trustee helps people live the life they choose.
