Mama Meera’s Ravo recipe inspire action

“Mama Meera, that’s what I used to call her,” Ravinder reminisced. “She was a great believer in the oral tradition of passing down recipes and sharing culture through food, but my Papa always insisted on writing things down.”

Ravinder’s grandparents were a great team. They documented their wishes and talked to their loved ones about what they wanted. This meant there was no confusion later, when they died, and their family could focus on caring for each other and carrying out Mama Meera and Papa’s wishes.

Inspired by his grandparents, Ravinder took action and made an estate plan, ensuring the tradition of being prepared is carried on. And thanks to the recipes he’s learned from his grandparents, he can pass those on too, like Mama Meera’s Ravo recipe, a family favourite.
