Public Trustee Board responds to the Tasmanian Government’s restructure announcement and OTTER report.

The Public Trustee Board acknowledges the Tasmanian Government’s announcement to restructure the Public Trustee and the Structure Review Final Report. Chair Therese Taylor emphasised that the Board will work cooperatively to ensure the best outcomes for clients, staff, and the community.

What does this mean for clients?

At this stage, there are no changes to our services, and clients do not need to take any action. It’s business as usual, and we continue to provide all of our services as normal.

The Government has commissioned independent expert advice on the appropriate governance structure for the Public Trustee. Click here to view the ‘Structure Review Final Report‘.

The Government will finalise the new model by 31 March 2025.
