Streusel muffins are one of Felix* and Miranda’s* favourites. While they’ve always been close, it is their muffin cooking sessions that Felix reminisced about most when creating his Will with the Public Trustee.
“We used to create all sorts of muffins together – combining different flavours and always sharing them over a cup of tea from my blue china teapot. She lives overseas now, but we still share recipes and keep in touch.”
Felix still has the blue china teapot, and it’s important to him Miranda has it, when he’s gone, “I like to think it will remind her of all the laughs we’ve shared. Hopefully she’ll make some new memories with it too…”
By documenting his wishing in his Will, Felix knows Miranda will one day get his treasured teapot, and his other loved ones will get specific items too. This way, when the time comes, they can focus on their memories rather than worrying about what to do with his possessions.
