An Enduring Power of Attorney lets you appoint a Trustee to manage or administer your financial affairs should the need arise. To make an Enduring Power of Attorney, a person must be able to demonstrate an awareness of the implications of their actions.
In the case of Financial Administration, if it is deemed that a person cannot manage their own affairs, the Trustee is determined by the Guardianship and Administration Board.
This is why it is so important to make an Enduring Power of Attorney now.
It allows you to make a decision on who should manage your affairs if you are unable to do so in the future.
