Why would I choose The Public Trustee?

Being a Trustee is an extremely demanding task that requires a good understanding of legal, accounting, investment and taxation matters.

You can appoint any individual or organisation to be a Trustee but because a Trust is usually administered over a long period of time, it is probably better to opt for a reliable and longstanding company such as specialist Trustees, or a firm of solicitors or accountants. The reason for this is that, unlike an individual, an organisation will not die, leave the State or become incapacitated.

We believe it is very important for your Beneficiary to have a single point of contact. If you were to appoint the Public Trustee, your Trust would have a dedicated Account Manager who would liaise with your Beneficiary. The Account Manager would be backed by a team of specialist solicitors, accountants, investment advisers and taxation experts.
